Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how MC Intelligent Co., Ltd. ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with MC Voxlate ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide

We may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as feedback or support requests submitted via our website contact form.

2b. Automatically Collected Information

We may collect the following to improve app stability and user experience:

  • Device information (model, OS version, screen resolution)
  • Crash logs and performance diagnostics
  • Anonymised usage analytics

This data is anonymised and not linked to your personal identity.

2c. Permissions & Sensor Data

The App may request the following device permissions:

  • Microphone — Used for Face-to-Face Translation and Live Transcription. Audio is processed in real time and is not stored or recorded by us.
  • Screen Capture — Used for Screen Translation. Screen images are processed on-device for text recognition (OCR). Images are discarded immediately after text extraction and are never stored or transmitted to any server.
  • Display Over Other Apps — Used to show the floating translation button and translation overlay.

2d. API Keys (Your Key Mode)

If you use Your Key (Cloud Mode) and enter your own API key, that key is stored locally on your device only using encrypted storage. It is never transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.

3. How Data Flows in Each Mode

3a. MC Mode Free

All processing happens entirely on your device. Speech recognition, translation, and text-to-speech use built-in device capabilities and offline models. No data leaves your device.

3b. COINS Mode

When you use COINS Mode, your text or audio is sent directly from the App to Google Cloud APIs (such as Vertex AI, Cloud Speech-to-Text, and Cloud Text-to-Speech) for processing. Data is not routed through MC Intelligent's servers. Google processes your data according to Google Cloud's Privacy Notice. Your Coin balance is managed locally on your device.

3c. Your Key (Cloud Mode)

When you use your own API key, requests are sent directly from the App to your chosen provider. We have no access to your requests or responses. You are subject to your provider's terms and privacy policy.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the App's features and performance
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Analyse anonymised usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Display advertisements (free users only — see Section 5)
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

5. Advertising

The App displays advertisements to free users via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain information to serve and personalise ads, including:

  • Advertising ID (resettable device identifier)
  • Device information (model, OS version)
  • General location (IP-based, not precise GPS)
  • App usage data related to ad interactions

You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads. AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Premium members do not see advertisements.

6. Data Storage & Security

User preferences, translation history, transcriptions, and Coin balances are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage where applicable. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect any data processed by the App.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

  • Transcription history — You can delete individual transcriptions or all history from within the App.
  • Translation history — You can clear history from the App's settings.
  • All app data — You can clear all data by going to Android Settings → Apps → MC Voxlate → Clear Data, or by uninstalling the App.

Anonymised crash logs and analytics retained on our analytics provider are automatically deleted after 14 months.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with the following third-party services:

  • Google Play — App distribution and in-app purchases. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Cloud APIs — Used in COINS Mode for speech recognition, translation, and text-to-speech. Subject to Google Cloud's Privacy Notice.
  • Google AdMob — Advertising for free users. See Section 5.
  • Third-party AI providers — In Your Key (Cloud Mode), your chosen provider's terms apply.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Your Rights

Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" above and posting the revised policy at this URL.
